Anafranil / Clomipramine

I've been on Clomipramine in the UK for a number of years. It has worked well especially to start with. Because of Brexit this medication is no longer available.

My Doc has prescibed Sertraline, so I slowly came off the clomipramine. I'm now reluctant to start Sertraline as:

1) I'm feeling not too bad taking nothing

2) My circumstances have changed - much more peaceful house

3) Financial stresses have gone

4) Previously had a terrible time finding something that works

5) Realised that 3 cups of coffee for breakfast was not good for anxiety,

Rather than a daily pill, is there something that can be taken as needed?

I’m not a doctor, and you really need to ask a doctor about this.

I’ve been on sertraline before and I did all right - but everybody is different.

Good old Brexit.....not.

Talk again with your GP it may be you have moved on and are beginning to feel much better than you did before. Your GP may be able to wean you of your medications. Remember people with Mental Health Concerns do get better, reading your letter seems to be positive so give moving on a try under the recommendation of your GP

Good Luck
