Such as studying abroad,exams,results,family struggles

There is mild anxiety sometimes but the heart palpitations causes shortness of breath, headaches, im so mad that im mot worried but my body acts like it ,even if im a bit concerned im so done with this..

Well, a few months back i went to a gastrologist for my appetite problems which was due to stress but he made me do alot of blood tests , and stool tests, but i know that these palpitations are from stress, ever since i had a fight with my family and things werent as stable i have been feeling more anxious and my heart has been getting this sinking feeling

I know exactly what u mean. I think it's our body's way of letting us know that we are full of adrenaline (fight or flight response) even if we don't mentally feel anxious. we need to channel the extra energy into something productive or try to relax as best we can. It's sooooo hard though! It's good that you're acknowledging your body and are in tune with what's going on. That's half the battle. I get the same as u....palpatations. Sometimes with nausea, bad stomach, head ache and can't sleep. I even get shaky, pins and needles and dizzy sometimes x

I think you're amazing. I really do. Keep your head held high x

Kevin, I read a couple of your previous posts for background. You have been through so much and just coming out of a big argument. It doesn't surprise me that you are still having physical symptoms. Since you are so close to exams, maybe you can try to focus on being ready for them. Is there a place you can walk to to study to just be out of the house for some time. My girls like to go to Starbucks. A library would be free. You could just order a soda at a restaurant and sit at a table for a long time with your books.

Do you graduate this year? Will you need help figuring out college applications? I've just gone through it with my two daughters. They just finished their freshman and junior years. I could work on a list of things that need to be done if it would help you.

Thank you alot for the support, i have been studying well, so no need to worry about that , i graduate this year and im going to check for universitites, or possibly take a gap year because im thinking of studying abroad and im going to require to learn a new language, and possibly just to travel and stuff before going to uni

I think one of the easiest ways to study abroad is with a US college or university. You wouldn't be out there alone, but with a program that your study would count towards your degree. I wish you the best of luck! Congratulations on finishing high school and finishing well, it seems. You've overcome so many distractions. I certainly believe that you will be successful on your next step to independence!

Hey Kevin, sounds like some residual effects of the rush of adrenaline you had 3 days ago.

Without realizing it, we tend to replay it in our minds causing the adrenaline to stay in a

free floating state. Knowing what is causing it as you already do is half the answer.

Continue to use your deep breathing in calming your mind and body. You have the power, you are in control. xx
