After meals anxiety/palpitations

Recently i have been noticing that some of my anxiety waves, and heart palpitations occur after eating, i tend to overeat sometimes and i guess when i feel full which can put pressure on the chest and breathing makes me suffer from mild to medium anxiety and heart palpitations..does anyone have experience in this and any advice on how to control it

Kevin, this can happen when we tend to overeat or eat too fast causing a lot of

air to be swallowed between gulps. Even drinking a full glass of liquid with your

meals can cause the stomach to push up against our heart causing heart palps.

A couple things you may try is only eat a meal in a quiet relaxed setting, sitting

upright in a chair. Slouching on a couch watching tv while eating doesn't allow

your food to settle properly. Another thing that can help is eating smaller meals

several times a day. I hope you find what works best for you. This is totally in

your hands as you seem to understand the mechanics in eating and digestion

and the results of eating too much at one time. Feel better xx

Thanks alot agora, im definately guilty of eating too much too quickly, and i believe your suggestion on eating using a quiet and appropraite setting is more beneficial , And eating several smaller meals rather than large meals, recently i have been doing so ..eating large meals at late at night and usually cramming my meals and drinks late at night, i kind off assumed it could be that because i know my eating habits ...
