Cannabis/CBD Routine

My Cannabis/CBD routine is dialed in and working in amazing ways.

A good night of rest is paramount, so I use an amazing Indica strain called Northern Lights just before bed along with my prescription for sleep (my only prescription), and some CBD from tincture.

In the morning, I prefer a strain that wakes me up and gets the day flowing. For this I have a Sativa (or Hybrid strain) such as Sour Diesel, Blue Dream or Green Crack. All get the job done. I take this along with Vitamin D and Vitamin B12 (both Super Amazing in their own right). I will also add some CBD tincture here and throughout the day.

To stay focused on work I prefer Sour Diesel if I'm doing Deep Work, otherwise Blue Dream is sufficient for me. For mid day and late day I prefer Blue Dream as it is really balanced and provides a boost of flow. Green crack is amazing for social situations as it allows me to function without anxiety. All of these strains mentioned are amazing and work for my lifestyle. Another strain worth checking out is Jack Herer, and it has fascinating history if you are interested in checking out

I must mention that I'm not a heavy smoker, I only microdose as it keeps me straight headed without being stoned out of my mind, which is not a good thing for me (mostly). I like to be active, not couch locked eating junk food and watching TV.

I have experimented with many strains to discover the ones that work best for me. Cannabis is allowing me to live more freely while being more active and focused, with less anxiety and social awkwardness, and it also takes any body pains that goes along with my age :).

It's simply amazing, and It allows me to avoid all the toxic prescriptions throughout the day (I'm keeping the night pill for sleep though). I feel like I'm flying high (no pun intended).

Note: I use Cannabis/CBD outside the scope of my Dr. I have taken my healthy lifestyle and joy into my own hands, and have done the research/discovery of strains on my own. I have done this to avoid putting toxic chemicals found in prescription drugs into my body.

Is anyone else having success with Cannabis?

No offense but smoking weed causes more depression and anxiety in the long run as well as triggering mental illness. It is the worst thing we can do with our illnesses. I know it feels good temporarily but it causes more problems in the long run.

in reply to

No offense taken.

It's subjective, and I don't abuse it all. I'm very purposeful on how much and when.

As far as over time, there is no trusted scientific study that I could find that makes depression worse because of Cannabis, but there is evidence that it will worsen for people with Psychosis in the long run. These are 2 separate diseases.

The truth is that people who don't treat their depression or don't take the steps to understand what depression really is, will likely suffer from deeper depression with ageing. This is true whether they use Cannabis, prescription drugs, alcohol etc. Because the issue they don't get to the root of their depression issue.

They key is being a responsible adult Cannabis microdoser. I get more benefit out of the Cannabis method pound for pound than prescription drugs could ever provide. The goal would be to not have to take anything at all, but I discovered Cannabis has unlocked the opportunity for me to make progress in that direction.

Microdosing is not the same as general dosing, and it is what makes the difference for me. I don't recommend anyone trying this method until they are truly sincere in wanting to escape depression and anxiety, otherwise the cannabis may not perform as needed.

I agree. Believe me I have several years of experience myself and I could not moderate and it made me worse. I quit seven years ago. I had a bad experience with the synthetic stuff which is quit different. I'm glad that you have found some relief.

in reply to

The key I found for me was having the right strain and only microdosing. I don't really get high, but it takes the edge off and allows me to be in control without the anxiety that we all know can stump the day. For me it has always been how do I get past anxiety so that I can focus on the life I want.

I do see people all the time use Cannabis in a way that is counterproductive to their own life. Moderation is necessary for sure.

Me too mel I’m about 8 years clean of drugs but smoking weed when you already suffer from depression and anxiety don’t mix too well when you’re already unstable and can open doors in your mind that are better left closed but ...each to their own

in reply toSillysausage234

I agree. Stopping for six months to a year will show you it promotes anxiety and depression and is the worst thing we can do with mental illness.

I use cbd and it works great for my anxiety and my dr prescribed it to me for anxiety. It’s all as you said micro dosing and not abusing it many don’t have the self control to use it in that way but when you do it’s amazing.

I also have anxiety and take meds for it. How can I get my doctor to prescribe cbd for me. The meds not helping.

This is so really good to hear. I’ve been struggling with depression, anxiety, fears and keeping control(OCD).I have trouble smoking whatever my wife happens to scores(not happy about her daily addiction)either. I get uptight,

sort of spastic, fearful and thinking too much. Sometimes a glass of wine while smoking may be helpful.

>I am just so very curious if I can see an MMD and really get help or perhaps from CBD. I know the strain of weed is vital if one is using not to get high(although that’s ok sometimes and I believe everything in moderation), but

to have a positive and productive life. How and where would one start; finding a good doctor, manufacturer, not being bled by an MD to constantly go back for continuous prescriptions all the time. How does one find the right strain especially if they don’t want to get a high from the high. Thanks for your help if anyone with the knowledge can help me.

ALSO to answer a previous statement: Smoking marajuana can make or increase depression. HOWEVER from what little I know, smoking were from wherever is NOT the same as using a particular strain especially if it is done with the correct kind or combo for a specific cause. Thanks for any

paths anyone may help open for me.

The key is to take time to really discover what the root of your depression and anxiety is and work towards resolving those issues. Then take the time to discover which cannabis strains will work for you. It takes time, but once you have it all dialed in, it will evolve into your healthy lifestyle as you work to progress in your life.

You have to take your life/health into your own hands and know where you are going. Cannabis just makes the journey less stressful, which makes a world of difference.

Happy adventures to you.

Do you vape or use flower? Occasionally, I'll have a little idica edible to help me sleep. I definitely appreciate you sharing your experience. Blue Dream is awesome...I vape, but not often enough 🤣

in reply tostucknarut2

I prefer to use flower as its seems pure and organic to me. Sometimes I will use vape pen if I'm in an environment where I don't want to be observed by others. I have tried edibles, but that has proved to be to much sometimes as consistency among products are not yet dialed in. Lol. In the future it would be great to take a gummy and know that it's going to be consistent everytime.

I couldn't agree with you more! I think there needs to be strain specific edibles. I'm not much of a smoker... I have kids, but I do enjoy my edibles and little vaping from time to time. I'm really happy that you were able to find the right combo for you. All of your selections are excellent! I'm trying to decide if I want to venture out on CBD or a 1:1 ratio.... again, this is still a problem as you really don't know what their using...and I know terpenes make a huge difference. I would certainly need to find someone knowledgeable in this area. Anyway, thanks for the reply! Wishing you continued success!

in reply tostucknarut2

Yes on the 1:1 once the market and regulations balances out, and as consumers we know what we are getting in every dose. Pop a gummy 3 times a day and maybe have a smoke to toast life’s milestones and celebrations. Cheers
