Can You Do At Least One Thing?

Can you do at least one thing to change today?

Can you go for one walk that you normally wouldn't take?

Can you write a post that you normally would hesitate to write?

Can you call a friend/family member that you normally wouldn't vent to?

Can you change one meal from fast food to something healthier?

Can you throw away that soda in your hand?

Can you plan the trip you know you need?

Can you save $5.00?

Can you give yourself the supreme of baths?

Can you listen to a favorite song with your eyes closed?

Can you change the words "I can't" to "I can" for today?

So many times I feel as though there is nothing I can do to make myself feel better, when there really is. There is always at least one thing I can do. Those one things add up.

Yes. I can. I can hold my child and remember what is important in life and what I take every breath for. Even though she's 12,thats just what I did tonight when I felt like the whole world was against me. I held her in my lap and rocked her and told her I was there for her and everything is going to be okay. Priceless!! 🤗

Can you accept your anxiety for the time being without fighting it? That which we resist will persist.

Can you accept it passively and carry on as normal? We win not by the punches we give but by the punches we take.

Can you accept your anxiety without responding to the flash of first fear with second fear? Fear is what feeds anxiety.

Can you accept it utterly for as long as it needs to allow your nervous system to recover because you are no longer flooding it with the hormones of fear and stress? Learn to live with your anxiety and you'll be able to live without it.

I decided to get a manicure this weekend... first in forever. Going to two work events with my husband in the next week. Plus been feeling down lately. Maybe a little TLC will help.

Great post Lindsay.

I’m up and out, and I really didn’t want to be..I’m attending a meeting I really don’t feel up to and in fact dread...

But I’m doing it...it’s a big thing for me today..so yes instead of saying I can’t, I have...and it’s so tough but I’m hopeful that later I will feel better than I would if I’d decided I couldn’t do it...because it’s soooooo difficult !

Doing pretty darn good, how are you doing my friend?

I got new paints today, it's like Christmas....and the garden is planted, the flowers are blooming, the sun is out, my cat is purring....all the adult children are gone....and it's heaven right now....peace is a treasured thing in my life. I hope your day is a great one too.....

That's really good, positive and almost like a nice kick up the butt. I think we should all try to do one of those things.
