Hi there I like most music especially 80s music (rock) meatloaf, whitesnake and motor head! seal is a good choice as is Katy Perry! It's all about personal choice but each to there own type of music!
Purpleblackdawg8 The greatest love of all is the best ever....practice doing it to yourself...love you....the ups and downs..throughout it all..you're special there's only one you!
When I'm feeling down, I usually listen to certain songs that are cathartic, songs that don't flinch from sadness, but leave me feeling hopeful. Two such songs I always have at the ready are "This Is A Low" by Blur and "Let Down" by Radiohead, though there are so many others.
But when the moment calls for something motivational, my go-to tune is "Get Better" by Frank Turner:
Here's a song in the spirit of this thread by one of my favorite bands, The Magnetic Fields...cuz everyone knows you can't be sad while having a hootenanny!:
Anything by Roy Orbison, he only sang the songs he wrote and he never wrote a bad one. Even Elvis, the King, acknowledged that Roy was the Emperor. Listen to 'In dreams' on YouTube.
Also Al Bowlly, who died in London in the Blitz in 1941. His finest recording was 'Blue Moon' recorded in the Rainbow Room of Radio City, New York, in 1935.
And of course Chuck Berry's "You never can tell" that was used in Pulp Fiction.
All good music lifts the spirit and relieves us of troublesome thoughts.
Omg to get pumped up? Foster the people all the way even if the song is sad. They definitely are one of them,
As for music that helps me when I am down..at this point there isn't just one song and rather songs without words..Oh and alot of songs that arent of my mother tongue. Kpop/korean artists and songs from dramas i've watched( usually asian of some sort..i am learning languages too so it plays a role lol)
Here's a random list of 5 songs
