Would like anyone's experience with this. Just want to know what to expect if I had to go to the hospital or call a Crisis Team when Im afraid I will hurt myself. What kind of treatment was used and did it actually help. Will they connect me with a social worker that can help me get medical treatmentand other service

What happens when you are feeling suicidal and seek help?

Ruby dear, I read your bio and it is extremely heartbreaking. I am so glad you have reachedour to this caring supportive site. I personally have no experience with your situation but
know that there are many on this forum who can and will give you the advice and support
you so need right now. Please stay safe. We care xx
It depends on where you live. If you are using the language "crisis team" it sounds like they have a dedicated mental health crisis team (not police) that will talk to you. Together you would assess where you need to be and what care you should have. Your thoughts, insurance and location all play a part in the decision process. They won't leave it all to you. Good luck and I hope that helps.
If you mention that you are suicidal to a professional, the decision will be taken out of your hands and you will be hospitalized. 911 will get you the police.
In the hospital, a doctor will make decisions about what treatment you need and how long you will have to stay. As Blueruth said, much depends on your location and insurance.
Samaritans is a charity that will talk to you about your suicidal thoughts. Here's a link for the U.S.A. phone helpline.
It is a slippery slope honestly. It depends who you are dealing with and / or where you go . Sometimes the outcome is great and sometimes not so much. Take care. If you truly need help for this do get it , please. Also remember there are suicide hotlines set up where you can talk confidently to someone.
I been through this myself many times for being suicidal but they will evaluate you and you just more less tell them how you are feeling and what is going on first. Then depending on how the evaluation goes they could send you to a psychiatric hospital for treatment don’t worry tho I know it seems scary but it would benefit you they are there to help. I’d say just be honest tell them exactly how you feel. They only keep you for a few weeks or maybe even 3 days depending on how the treatment goes. You should expect a psychiatrist to check on you daily or somewhat daily they also have nurses check each room every 15 minutes I believe might be longer. As far as treatment goes they like to try meds. If you have any questions I’d be happy to answer I’m a message away
