Hi everyone hope this finds you all in good spirits.
So last week my psychiatrist increased my Zoloft from 100mg to 150mgs due to my anxiety had gotten worse and so did my depression now I’m just experiencing some side effects and was wondering if anyone else has experienced any of them as well.
I been having some really wild dreams or nightmares all night long, I have broken sleep through out the night or having a hard time staying asleep so I’ve had to take my xanax at night in order to fall asleep.
Up until yesterday I was taking the medication during the morning when I was on 100 mgs I had no issues with drowsiness but adding the extra 50mgs that became an issue so today I will begin taking it at night time.
Also I do take Trileptal (oxcarbezipine) which is my mood stabilizer and I tend to sweat a lot at night when I sleep 😴.
Am wondering if this is a norm with the Zoloft being increased.
Thank you in advance,
And I am feeling better with the medication increase.

I had my Zoloft increased to 50mg about a month & a half ago, & I've had similar issues. Weird dreams/nightmares, broken sleep & I've had to use my xanax much more often. If you're feeling better then I guess its okay, but personally I plan to talk to my doctor about getting off Zoloft altogether as I feel it may be making my anxiety worse. Best of luck.
Well last night was the first night I took them around 8ish I did fall asleep for a while but woke up from sweating and just increased body temp.
As for my anxiety it’s has helped since I began taking it of course as I stated my anxiety had gotten worse but with the increase and it’s now been a week it’s has helped it and I haven’t been so anxious.
Unfortunately I have to be on a combo because due to being diagnosed bipolar depression but the whole thing with me is managing my mania more than anything so my mood stabilizers help me with that but can bring me down a little too much hence forth the adding of Zoloft.
I now use my xanax as needed which isn’t on a constant but the past week with the increase I did have to take it so that I can sleep.
