Anyone felt sick 2nd week of taking mirtazapine

Is it normal to sick and extra anxious whilst taking mirtazapine within the first 3 weeks, will things get better or am I wasting my time, thank you

I’ve had good luck with this medication. What is your dose? I had your symptoms with two of the SSRIs (Zoloft then Celexa). Hope you feel better, but you should talk with your doctor, every one is different.

I’m on 15 mg which along side Zopiclone is helping with my insomnia but she has said I need to wean myself of the sleeping tablets, however how I’m feeling at the moment is impossible, when I’ve fallen asleep is the only time I feel relaxed.

Mirtazepine side fx are typically less bothersome than ssri antidepressants, but of course we are all different in how we may react. Too many times I've tried a new med and gave up on it to quickly. I take an AD now which is very effective, funny thing is I also tried it years ago but gave up on it because of side fx after a couple of weeks. I'd give it a little more time and side fx may get better as your body adapts to medication.
