I may give it a try. everyone may react somewhat differently but wondering about your experiences.

Also any other similar medication treating ocd and anxiety that you’ve had experience with?

Hi Starr, I've never tried it, I'm still looking for something that will work? Let me know if it works for you? Ive been seeing a new counselor, this is my second visit with him, not sure if he's the "ONE"? Take care

Sure will let you know.

I’m taking Lexapro and it has greatly helped my OCD and anxiety, and my depression. Start up side effects are rough, start low like 2.5 or 5mg

Oh I was on that but for me it didn’t work. Thank you and glad it helped you.

I’ve tried a few, Zoloft made me jittery and had fast heart rate. Wellbutrin gave me a rash. Celexa was ok.

Ok thanks. Wellbutrin sent me to a dark place. Zoloft I can’t recall and never tried Celexa.

I will be praying for you to find the right medication. Wellbutrin is what worked for me. However, medication alone, was not what helped me improve. I also needed the right counseling. Are you getting counseling? This group (bit.ly/2DS3v7S) can lead you to the right counselor. Also, once I learned what my triggers were, and knew I was falling into depression and that dark place, I would work on the techniques I learned. One main technique is learning to keep my thoughts in check. Battlefield of the Mind (bit.ly/2IQhptu) is a great book to help with that. It teaches how faith along with being aware of our thoughts helps us have control and not the disease have control of us. I also found this site that shares some inspiration (bit.ly/2JeZvl3) on how to keep life in perspective through healthy insight. You will be in my thoughts and prayers this week. Please keep us posted how you are doing. Hugs!

Thanks so much. I am seeing a counselor and going to mindfulness classes. Just trying to decide if I will try Paxil. Thanks for prayers 💕

I’m on Seroxat which is similar to Paxil . Yes it worked on my anxiety and depression pretty well. It took me 4 months to fully work .

I’ve recently started back on celexa 10mg. I’ve tried just about everything. Lexapro was awful for me...it made me feel so spaced out. I’ve also tried Wellbutrin, which kept me up at night. I really liked Prozac, but it started to give me heart palpitations.

I hope the celexa works for you. Thanks for the info.

I took Paxil. It was not a good fit for me. It would make me wired.I was switched to Zoloft by chance and it works so well for me.

I have taken Paxil for quite awhile. Start low and slow is my only suggestion if you have anxiety. Like alot of ssri’s, when you have anxiety, starting them can increase anxiety quite a bit if at top dose. Ask for something low dose to calm your nerves for like 5 days as you begin. It works great for me!

Years ago I tried Paxil took 1st. Pill at night..couldn't sleep mind was like frozen all night didn't like how I felt. The best med that helped and cured my anxiety was 0.5 of Adavan. (Lorazapam) or clonapin.

If you stay with one or 2 pills a day sstopping is easy with no eithdrawls. I refuse to take SSRI s they up the med and are hard to get off off. I do google " user reviews for meds" helps me decide weather to take med.
