Hi, i have been struggling really bad with depression for a while now. Trying to find the right medication and just recently started counselling. My friends now all know but they are all so busy with their own life’s and relationships and don’t have time. Just wondering if it’s pissibke to get through this on my own without the support of my friends?

In my perspective you can do anything on your own. I have lost all of my friends because they do not understand what I go through on a daily basis. However, I have the extreme support from my husband and parents. Be proud of yourself for finding the right medication and going to counseling. It can take a while to find the right medication for you so be patient. I attend therapy every other week but sometimes have to make emergency appointments because some days are more difficult than others. Stay positive and keep moving forward.
I would try to find a support group, where there are other people also struggling with depression. It helps to know other people go through it, and provides a space to process feelings. Try this along with one on one therapy
