Buspirone..... I am planning to wean myself of it, has anyone done it successfully!!!

I never ever read the patient pamphlet the one that comes with your medication from the pharmacy, until one day out of nowhere I started reading 📖 the pamphlet for the buspirone medication, it stated that if you have Parkinson’s you shouldn’t take it, since it worsen your symptoms!!! I have Parkinson’s and I’ve been on it for almost a year, so if anyone went through the weaning process PLEASE share your experience, advice, tips on how to start this process. Thank you 🙏🏽

Sorry just realized I was thinking another med in my post. That's the same as Buspar and yes I got off with no problems

I tapered off that medication successfully over a 3-4 week period, cutting my dosage down a 1/4 each week & then stopped.

It wasn’t terrible.

I’m not a Dr though & don’t have Parkinson’s so maybe consulting with a Physician would be best.
