Numb emotions?
It's not just you. At times I swear I don't have emotions. Everything in you just feels numb and it's like nothing matters... When I'm with my friends or family I always have this 'mask' the one where it looks like I'm so happy and life is perfect when in reality I feel nothing. Idk what it is that makes someone feel numb but I understand how you feel.

I have experienced this in the past. Unfortunately some depression medications make you numb. You can't shut out the bad emotions without shutting out the good.
My personal experience was with Prozac. I told my doctor that I thought it was the "happy pill". I told them I needed to stop taking it because I needed to be able to look at my granddaughter and not just KNOW that I loved her but I needed to FEEL it too.
I am an expert at hiding my emotions. No one would ever know that the happy, outgoing person is just someone I portray. 50 years of pretending...I should have been an actress.
Yes! This is a classic depression symptom. I tend to become numb when emotions become very intense, and then I just feel nothing. I have found my medication has helped with this issue tremendously though.
Definitely not just you. I have GAD and depression and I often feel that way, especially when I'm going through a really rough depressive episode like I was for the last month and a half. For me, the sadness and worthlessness progresses into that numbness of emotions often.
