If you can find a therapist that's a good fit for you, it can really change your life. First of all....help you sort out the anxiety and what's behind it for starters.

What you are describing is my definition of depression. Anxiety is fear based and would involve those feelings.

I think it's very normal to shut down/off our feelings. You're not completely shut down cause you posted on here. Try talking to your parents about how you're feeling and ask for a few visits to start off. Most places will go on a sliding scale if finances are a problem. If that doesn't work, think about a pastor or priest to talk to.

What do you mean by sliding scale and why a priest?

A sliding scale means they don't charge the standard price. They go by your income, in your case it would be your parents. Made for people who really can't afford it. Some medical insurances pay for part of a visit cost also. But first your parents have to agree it might help you so you really need to talk seriously and grown up about it. Pastors and priests often counsel people that's why I mentioned them. It may not be an ongoing thing but it certainly helps in a pinch when you have no one else. Of course they may bring up a relationship with God which is not a bad thing. My faith and trust in God has gotten me out of many pits of despair.
