Hello. I'm living in Los Angeles and have dealt with Anxiety (panic, GAD) for years. Last year I tried Lexapro and it made things worse for me. I recently worked up the nerve to try Zoloft because things had gotten really, really bad. I'm on week 5 and I think it's helping. I'm having to use benzos at the moment as well, but it's a lowish dose and will taper off as soon as I can. Anyway, I just wanted to plug in here. Thanks for listening.

Glad to hear your medication is helping. I have had GAD my whole life but just got an official diagnosis. I’m on Wellbutrin as I also have depression and I’m taking medication to sleep. I’m on week 3 and I’m starting to sleep better but I don’t feel like myself still. It’s frustrating. I would also like to taper off everything when I can. Welcome to this group. I’ve found it helpful for venting and getting some support when I’m feeling low.

Hello Coralrose! Thanks for sharing. With the Zoloft, I had several shaky weeks. I'm still not regulated but I can tell it's getting better. Unfortunately we have to give these things time to work but there are a bunch of success stories out there and I really want to be one of them. I hope you become one of them, too.

Hey I just started Zoloft and reading this made me feel better about taking it! I’m really nervous about it and it’s only my second day.

Zoloft is what my obgyn had recommended to me if i decide to take it. A friend of mine said it worked great for her for like 10 years and just recently had to switch to something else. Hope its working for you!
