My best friend just went through ECT. He recommended me I do it too. We're very similar with our major chronic depression, severe anxiety & suicidal ideation. He said it helped a lot for his anxiety. Not as much as he would've liked for his depression. But said it was worth it for his anxiety to lesson. He had to go 3 days a week. Had to have someone drive him (since they knock you out). And he did have a little memory loss. Nothing crazy though. Just little things here & there. I'd like to try it but I can't take 3 days a week off from work for 4-6 weeks.

I’ve heard a person say it helped her to feel happy But she scared me. I had a bunch of people say I should try it. Nooooo way will I try it. I feel weird enough being on brain altering drugs I will not have my brain shocked. Even the thought of it...I’d rather die.

I don’t think that saying it all aloud will help me. I should induce a lot of positivity in my life.

I think I understand. I’m feeling really scared because of my thinking so I’m working on focusing on the stable positive things in my life instead of focusing on the fragile parts. We just have to believe things are getting better and we can do what we put our minds to.
