Today for the first time, I went to the doctor to get help with what I thought was possibly depression, but I had spent along time putting this off because I didn't think I "deserved" to feel depressed.
Is it strange that after the doctor told me that he thinks that I'm right, and that he wants to see me at the end of the week, I feel validated in my feelings and like I'm not making it up anymore?
Thanks,
🏖️

You know your body and yourself better than anyone! Anyone can, and does, get depression. The great news is their are SO many treatments available now. You have taken the first step to getting back " to yourself" again.
You are absolutely correct- NO ONE Deserves to feel depressed. Everyone deserves to feel happy. I am glad to hear that you will be seeing a doctor! Great first step. Please remember you are a beautiful creation.
