Just started both these meds, I take celexa in the morning and trileptal at night. I feel like crap!! I feel like they both are working but all of sudden I have side effects and I’m barely eating..Have anyone taking these meds before?

Hi,

I've taken both with success but I had to get used to the trileptal. It has a huge list of side effects and I'm not positive which ones were my problem. It can be one of the harder drugs to get used to in my opinion. Here's what drugs.com, a favorite site of mine for this kind of info, says regarding stomach problem side effects:

More Common:

Abdominal or stomach pain

Nausea and vomiting

Could any of these be the reason for you barely eating? Also significant to me was the yellowing of my teeth after many months...it was gradual but very real for me. You might want to try splitting the dose up into 2 doses if possible and taking them a few hours apart to lessen the effect on your stomach or appetite. Why not call your doctor to see if this is a possibility and get the recommended timing and dosages from your doc? S/he may even suggest switching drugs if needed. If you just started it, you might be asked to wait it out for a little longer to see if the side effects taper off. You also can't rule out the Celexa as the culprit. Then a doctor call would also be helpful to determine this. Usually, they are familiar with these problems. Best of outcomes to you.

Hugs, Love, and Blessings...
