I posted recently about interviewing a few times for a job and appreciated everyone’s responses. Just got an email that they offered it to someone else.... again turned down because I didn’t have experience and the other person did. I was really hopeful about this one because everyone in the office liked me and she even told me the parts of my resume and background that put me above others. How long will this go on??? This is so frustrating

Job update
Hang in there. I have experienced what you are going through, but eventually it led me to something better than what I even wanted. You can do it.
Thank you. Just tough because I graduated in August and have been turned down for 3 jobs now. That’s not counting the endless applications I’ve sent with no response
hi sorry to hear that.roll on the next interview.its always a horrible feeling but use the experience and take it forward into the next one.
Hi
I have read your previous messages and I feel your frustration at not getting the job, especially after 3 interviews. On your last message you got a reply from B4andafter. I really endorse what is written there. It certainly doesn’t reflect on you as a person. As difficult as it can be to accept, the job we do doesn’t define us at all. A job is mostly a means to an end. If we really love our work that is a bonus. You are much more than your career or job.
I might suggest that you try doing agency work in your chosen field in order to gain experience. That is what I did for about a year after graduating and I then got a full time position.
You are amazing at getting this far. You mentioned that you struggle with anxiety and depression. I know how hard it is to go for a job when there are dark clouds hovering.
Keep on going forward with lots of self love and compassion. You can do it. Every small positive step is a step in the right direction.
Looking forward to hearing only good news😀
Keep your head up. The best things are always worth the wait.
Maybe think outside the box a bit rather than using job boards etc where you are competing against hundreds of applicants. Identify organizations you would consider working for. Do some detective work and find the contact information for the hiring manager. Forward them a cover letter with your resume. Then follow up with them. The best jobs are usually the ones that are not advertised. Keep at it and good thingsj will happen.
Hi I am so sorry to hear this. A good idea is to write and say you are still interested in the job and to keep you on file. It does happen that they person they have employed either doesn't turn or turns out not to be suitable after all. x
