Does therapy stop after so many sessions? I started out at a crisis center for a month back in September and then was sent to an outpatient behavioral health center. Almost every time i go my therapist tells me how many visits i seen her or how many months. October was almost every week and then it was down to once a month. So its been about 5 months of seeing a therapist.
My other question would be is how often do you see the prescribing dr for depression meds? i'm going about 3 to 4 months at this point now.

I think the amount of sessions you get with a therapist is dependent on your insurance. I’m not sure what Medicaid covers. I see my psychiatrist every 3 months to check in and get refills for my prescriptions.
Medicaid services in AZ are difficult to get when it comes to counseling. If they do give it, a time limit and session limit is set. I think what you are experiencing is very typical. Unfortunately.
