anxiety after working out

From the experience of my own anxiety, unfortunately anxiety has no rhyme, reason or method. In the most unlikely situations, even when least expected, it sneaks in and engulfs us.
What kind of work-out/exercise regimine are you undertaking if you don't mind me asking?
I can think of a couple things. Working out can increase heart rate / sweating, which are similar to the symptoms people have when having a panic attack and thus, can trigger the same response.
The other thing is if you work out at a gym or even outside, seeing other people can trigger a social anxiety.
That’s not to say you shouldn’t exercise. You should! But it’s good to know your triggers.
Don't know if anyone has recommended this to you before but you might benefit from checking out the DARE Anxiety book and youtube videos to learn what anxiety actually is and how to constructively deal with it. At one time I subscribed to their phone app and found it really helpful. Another good resource is the youtube and website of Paige Pradko she has a lot of good info on her channel and another good one is Emma at Therapy in a Nutshell, she has a lot of good info also on youtube.
I have experience this, and it happened when I started taking a protein powder after a weight workout. Perhaps there was too much sugar or something in it. I personally find cardio workouts to be better for my anxiety than weights but throwing refined sugar on top of things could exacerbate it.
