Invisible

Describing depression the disease that is very real but nobody sees. The person strangled by anxiety and depression struggles to let others know, but since there may be no apparent outward injury visible, those with Depression/anxiety or other mental illnesses remain invisible often suffering alone. People can say: “You are not alone” all they want to-just to attempt to comfort the person with major depressive disorder, but what people don’t realize is this depressed person just for being depressed is feeling discriminated against, possibly traumatized, and irreparably broken. Some are suffering with; being depressed for being depressed; anxiety disorders; post traumatic stress disorder (and if been traumatized repeatedly or severely, it can become complex and multiple mental health disorders) and even more complicated as the human being is body mind and soul and we all need to feel connected and if there is a physical disability on top of mental disability-this person feels even more alone. Everyone is unique, but instead of telling those with serious mental health disorders-“You are not alone”-humankind (remember to be both-Human&kind), needs to be just that - kind to those suffering with these disorders and say to them “I understand,”(if you really do); “I want to help”; “I care”; “I’m here for you”; “would you like to talk to me - do you want someone to talk to?”; “it’s alright to feel the way you do”; “you’re not defective, weak or beyond help.”

Invisible....

Do you ever feel invisible?

In a corner as a single piece of dust?

Does every morning cast a shadow

Over your body cracked and creaking like an old dilapidated automobile full of rust?

Do you hear your mind speaking things

Repeating trauma that only you’ve been through?

Does your cold lonely heart beat blood frozenly,

And the pain you feel that others don’t, they won’t nor can believe it’s true?

And do you feel if you hadn’t been

The uniqueness that you and only you are,

The world would still find you within,

And never recognize your very deep to the bone scars?

Do you ever feel invisible?

In a corner as a single piece of dust?

Does every morning cast a shadow

Over your body cracked and creaking like an old dilapidated automobile full of rust?

Invisible

I’m invisible👀

No one notices me.

Call me “the phantom”

But I’m really more like the air no ones noticing

That they breathe.

I’m invisible👀

Though feel me inside your head

You hold me ransom.

Unnoticed (like a black cloud) following me until I’m finally buried’n dead.

No one notices your frown!

Swallow another little pill down.

Some help me sleep while others the pain’ll Barely b numbed.

Im in visible, don’t you see (I’m in visible)

Im in-vis-able.

I’m a Segregated, All alone, Un-seen, bro-ken soul.

I feel like my neck’s in a brace

Unnoticed in a deep dark black hole

with no voice

because I‘m invisible.

Im invisible, don’t you see (I’m in-visible)

I see. And I understand alot of what you are going through. I care.

I care too. What can I do? I had the most wonderful sleep last night that I hadn’t had for at least 5 years. Tried a supplement with my zopiclone and slept like a baby. Only thing is woke up with depression, dread and anxiety. So took my anti-anxiety med. I feel caught in a mental health cycle of mental mayhem.
