Surrounded, but alone.

I have to cut some people out of my life and it feels terrible because its a NEED not a WANT. The more I think about it, the more alone I feel. The past two days...every time I think about it, I have anxiety. BAD. The sadness sets in and I have to talk myself back to “normal.”

hi if some of the people you are cutting out of your life are having a negative effect on you then that cant be a bad thing.even if it means setting out meeting new friends then it might just be what you need.certain friends always have a bad impact on me so through volunteering ive met great new friends.

It depends on the reasons why you have cut out these people in the first instance.

We all have regrets and if we feel sad because of what we have done this time of year can prove to be a sad time of year. Many people in a group of others can feel lonely especially if relationships have gone bad.

Consider the reasons you find yourself in and if you understand your reasons look for others to fill in the gaps left by those who you have turned away from. However you can always go back and try to build bridges

I don’t fight for relationships. And that’s a huge problem. It’s not that I think people are expendable, but I would rather let people go thab to have the stress and the drama Of trying to hold onto people or relationships. But that leaves me feeling lonely, like I do now.

I am very similar to you when it comes to relationahips (friendships or otherwise), I can easily let go because I figure that is better than fighting for it. I am learning to balance and evaluate to see what and who is worth fighting for based on my emotional, psychological and physical needs. It is taking some time because trying to keep relationships is a new concept to me too...

:)

Yes I get it. I try and work on it and I have doubts flooding my mind whenever I meet a friend that I am naturally drawn to and would like to try and learn about him or her and truly form a lasting bond.

Many people say one really good friend is a great deal better than a room full of aquanances. However sometimes we need to run with those who know of us, rather than those who love and respect us

Many people, it is not unusual, to feel lonely in a room full of people. That is what my concern is
