I had a great weekend for once! I was able to stay busy and do some fun activities without obsessing.... Then Sunday night hit.... Anxiety and restlessness.... Led to chest and back pain around 3 am.. led to an hour or so of obsessing that I was having a heart attack....now I'm exhausted.... And just blah again.... I do think that this overcast, cold, early darkness nights are effecting me.... Anyone have any good ideas to cope with seasonal changes.... ? Hope everyone has a great Monday! I'm trying to turn my attitude around!

Winter blues
My puppy is my greatest joy (he's now one) but he drags me out of bed on a daily basis. Even on my worst days he somehow brings me a little light of joy. I have noticed on days that I don't walk with my dogs outside- I am worse. Winter is harder for me than any other time of year, probably the lack of sunlight and holidays are the worst. I hope you find some light and joy today!
😂😂 thank you Monkeysmiles!!! You just made me smile so big!!!!
Icky weather affects everyone I think. Maybe dealing with seasonal affective disorder. Feel better real soon. The sunshine will return, both outside and in the way you feel !!
I do light therapy as well in the mornings. It really helps
I’m considering getting a light therapy. Wanted to know if it really works. It helps depression but not anxiety? I have both. Please let me know.
I definitely helps with the seasonal depression. I have the Phillips golight blue energy light. It filters out all the UV rays and the blue light is supposed to be just as effective as the white light. I suppose if your anxiety is DUE to the depression, it would help. But, if you have panic disorder, it probably would not. Honestly, though, I really don't know the answer to your question about if it helps with anxiety- sorry.
Hi. I have the same problem with the dark days. I’m considering getting a light therapy lamp. It has helped someone I know. Just wondered if anyone has used these.
Hi
Always get out in the morning if you can, the sunlight is so much more powerful than the electric lights we have indoors. Even if is dull, the sun is shining somewhere. Sunlight sparks off dopamine in the brain and makes us feel happy even on a dull day. Walk to your front gate and watch the traffic or the people going by, you are sure to see a lot of really cute dogs if you are lucky.
