Winter Blues

Winter blues are the soft pastels peeking through the clouds by day

and the deep hues framing a bold brilliant sunset.

Winter blues are the sparkle of fresh snow glistening in the moonlight

and the subtle shades of a spruce tree making each one unique.

Winter blues are a warm, cozy sweater that lifts your mood

and the blanket you keep nearby to share with loved ones.

Winter blues are a mug full of cocoa to warm you inside and out

and one of many colors you see as you sit near a fireplace.

Winter blues are the beauty of nature and the comforts of home

when you slow down enough to enjoy them.

(According to the candle it's still fall but since it's been so cold here lately I am ignoring the calendar and posting this today.)

Do you get much snow there?

I love snowbut we do not often get it in this part of the UK

It all depends. Each winter is different. Sometimes a little snow, sometimes a blizzard with several inches. But even a little is beautiful when it settles on the grass.
