Good morning, all! I hope everyone is waking up today with a peaceful and relaxed mind I have an appointment today at 8:15 this morning with my psychiatrist and I am beginning to feel nervous about it. I have been there many times, but driving and waiting in waiting rooms/waiting in general causes me great anxiety. I am trying self-talk, I took a lorazepam, and I am still feeling the heat of panic. An appointment may seem small to some, but to me it is something that I have to be very brave about conquering. I don't want to cancel my appointment as it is very hard to be seen to begin with. Any thoughts, suggestions, advice? Thank you and have a wonderful day, everyone <3

Appointment
You got this dear! You can do it! Let me know how it goes.
When you are going to an appointment always do a relaxation exercise before, everyday if you have the date early. Then quietly go through in your mind the journey to the office and what you think may happen there, and then do some breathing exercises. Imagine any things which may make you nervous while you are waiting and think about the things you could do to lower your anxiety, read a book or magazine or listen to something on your phone, music or a talking book or just something distracting. Remember you are doing something to make yourself feel better and no one wants you to fail. You will survive as you have done so many brave things in your life, this is just another one. I am sending you all my best wishes.
Thank you both so much for the kind words! I really appreciate it
