Needing some help

Ive had deoression for quite sometime now I dont have as much confidence as i would like.still working on it

You found the right place. There are a lot of compassionate people on here that can you good advice. Congrats on connecting with others. It’s a great 1st step to feeling better!

This is a good place to learn. I am new here too mostly looking for support and talking to other people who get it. My depression is bad right now too. I am going to get out and go for a run or walk right now. Exercise helps me a lot but when you are down it is so very hard to do. I am going to push myself today because I have to. I have to really concentrate on eating right. I also do take medications to help but ultimately you have to do other things too to make sure you are taking care of yourself. When I get bad I say daily affirmations like I am worthy, I am a good person, I am worthy of love, I am a confident person. When my depression hits I feel worthless, no confidence, extremely sad. When my anxiety gets bad I have to think of other things. I have to get my mind thinking of something else. Sometimes I will take words of things around the house such as the word furniture and try to see how many different words I can make from the letters. I hope some of these things help. Have you seen a doctor for your symptoms?

Hi! I understand struggling with confidence. It has been something I have struggled with since I was younger. Depression would follow when my confidence was low, and vice versa… it seemed like a vicious cycle. One thing that helped me was discovering things that I loved to do and things I was good at. :) Not only did it help build my confidence, it also helped with depression because the things I enjoyed doing, helped me to feel better. What do you like to do? Do you have any hobbies? Do you have any friends you can reach out to when you are having a low day? I know I have some great friends who I hang out with or call when I need prayer or encouragement. They get me, and understand what I am going through.
