Hello, the most important thing is that your significant other is understanding and supportive. Its bad enough we think we are crazy but we are not. We have no control over how our bodies act. Its frustrating enough for us to feel this way cause we dont want to go through this.
I have had my s.o. tell me I am crazy and they use the diagnosis bi-polar losely. It makes me upset because I had an aunt that was Bi-Polar so i stopped her and explained to her not to use it so loosely. I told her how people feel and since then I do not hear those terms anymore to explain someone’s or my moodiness
No you're not alone. My husband tries to be there for me but he just doesn't understand. He always says just stop thinking about it, it's that simple. I just shake my head and walk away. People who aren't or haven't gone through it...just don't get it. However, he has been coming around lately ever since I made him do research about anxiety and ocd with me. It opened his eyes a lot. Don't know if that will help you, but it's worth a shot.
