Had an eventful start to work day..while standing and speaking with colleagues at my desk had sudden sharp pain in head and instantly fell halfway to floor as my walking aid caught in chair...and landed sideways on my right knee/hip..was shaking and very disorientated and work called for paramedics...when paramedics arrived was still in a state of confusion and my heart rate and blood pressure was high...they were very caring and did an ECG which was fine...
Have since seen GP who retested my BP and checked me over and said it was a One Off....of course i am doubly anxious about it recurring...am off work for couple of days asGP advised to rest up as have jolted my right side which feels like i was slammed into a wall...i already have a right sided weakness so at the moment am questioning what triggered the loss of blood pressure - did not feel stressed/blood sugar test ok...scary event...

Oh my goodness what a scary experience and no wonder you are still feeling fragile. To be honest I would believe the doctor in that it is a one off as the chances are s/he is right.
24 years ago I had a terrible pain in my chest and felt really ill and couldn't breathe properly. I had to call an ambulance who took me to hospital for a check up. They couldn't find any obvious cause but decided it was probably the big muscle over my heart going into cramp. i was terrified of it happening again but as time passed and it didn't I was able to relax.
The chances are this will be the same for you but it is natural you will worry about it for a time. If it ever does happen again then that is a different story and you must then have the full battery of tests. x
Yes I know how you feel. Did your doctor do tests to see if it is your heart apart from testing your bp? If not then I would ask for them and tell them of your anxiety. x
Yes..have long history with same GP who is very supportive and knows i suffer from severe anxiety..am taking a few diazepam to help me settle over next few days...
