New to community

I am new to the community and trying to find some friends for the first time in 15 years. May even create a social media page like facebook or something but have nobody to add. LOL. Guess I gotta start somewhere.

hey I don't know about other people on here but I binned social media years ago its just all fake and to much negativity for people with depression/anxiety.i just hated everyone knowing my business just wasn't me in the end.

Hi, kenster 1, I'm still on Facebook. I only deal with a small circle of friends there. Now, dozens have contacted me but I only talk to a few. One I met from here. Like all things it can be useful in moderation. It got too big for itself. My suggestion is to downsize your friend pool. Use an alternate facebook ID for your true friends. Several of my best friends do. But, I love this site and I love helping people. This quickly became my online home. Nice to chat with you, kenster 1, as usual.

most of my friends live in the same area anyway apart from a couple in Australia everyone knows everyone elses business in my village so its just like a facebook village.

You don't live in the US, do you? I live in the southwest corner of Ohio, in the US. It's great that people around the world can be friends here on this site. I sure know I'm happy I met the kenster 1 dude....

This is a great place to start, most people here are genuine and honest, so you can make a lot of friends here.

As for Facebook, I left a long time ago because it seemed very fake and I didn't trust the site at all.
