I think my S.O. might have depression

I noticed my boyfriend has been very down every single day and its hard to keep conversations with him. he says he's stressed and just not happy with himself. the only time I notice he is himself is when we are physically together on the weekends (we live a couple hours away and only visit on weekends). He is going into the marines and leaves for bootcamp in about 2 months, and I'm just worried that it will make it worse.. IDK what to do or how to help

I am sorry to hear that your SO is feeling this way and certainly during this transition time. I am sure that this transition is weighing heavily on his mind; not knowing what to expect and missing loved ones. You are a great support to him by reaching out for help:) . Continue to encourage him. Perhaps he could speak with his pastor or doctor about how he is feeling? I wanted to share this link with you so that you can get some more ideas of understanding if he is depressed and how you can help: bit.ly/2z9A4JW
