Struggle day

I am struggling today to function. My health anxiety is high because I have a twitch in my cheek that's been going on for 9 plus days which is probably from anxiety but I add the mistake of googling it and now I've spiraled thinking it's a tumor or something really bad.... Didn't sleep last night....not feeling like working.... Today is just a defeated feeling kind of day...

I've learned the hard way that all Google does is make you feel worse...

Still have to stop myself from doing it 20times a day...

Hope your day gets better

Thank you! Just finding this site and being able to talk to people and hear that I'm not crazy has already helped some! My friends and family just don't get it

Feel better!!! You are more than anxiety!

If it’s any consolation I also have some facial twitching and tingling in my cheek area and jaw. Doc tells me it’s a stress response. Given you are a fellow health sufferer I would see the doc to get the knowledge you need to put this symptom to rest. It’s likely what I have also, stress/anxiety response but seeing a doctor to get the health check validation could help your anxious thoughts and feelings.

If you have any hobbies try to dive into something that can take over your thoughts and feelings. Something you can really focus on and enjoy. For me it’s playing video games or reading a book.

Hope you find peace in this battle of health anxiety! Have a good day we are all here to support!

Thank you! I went to the doctor and he said it was a combo of anxiety and I have a sinus infection that could be pressing on the facial nerve! Starting some antibiotics but I have a strong feeling it's more anxiety related!

Dogmom, I'm glad you saw your doctor. It all makes sense. You're probably right in that anxiety is the basis of all our issues. I hope you start getting some relief with the antibiotics. Wish you well xx
