I have recently started dealing with anxiety. I was wondering if anyone had any little tips/ideas for little ways to calm themselves down during the day, or ways to manage anxiety in general?
Also, any tips for falling to sleep/quieting mind before bed?
Thanks

Breathe. Keep reminding yourself that you’re okay and that you’re in control.
I’ve found weighted/gravity blankets help me fall to sleep faster. I put the devices away at least an hour before bed and just decompress. I’ve found meditation helps relax me. Clear your mind and focus on what’s good! Hope this helps xo
I got mine from gravid.ca and I’d be lost without it! Can’t say enough good about it. Really helped with my sleeping and helping me feel more rested. That with my lavender pillow and I’m sleeping better than I have in a long time.
I’m looking into diffusers now. I tried the salt rock lamp and I found it helped some but anything to help.
You should totally get one! There’s different sites you can purchase from and price varies 😊
Yes I’m going to!! I believe in signs and seeing your comment was meant to be! So thank you! And I wanted to try the salt rock lamp too but my diffuser is awesome.
What works for me- Exercise is vital, proper sleep, journaling, support groups, epsom
salt baths before bed or magnesium oil on feet before bed, texting or calling someone when feeling anxious, faith and prayer, playing a game on my phone to get my mind off things.
doing some stretches to loosen up my body, deep breathing exercises are super easy, calm me down and usually knock me out! i’ve never used but i heard cbd if you’re into that helps a ton with sleep aid!
I love essential oils. When I put them in my diffuser, the whole house feels calmer. I also listen to the “Calm” app when I lay down for sleep. I also find cleaning to be therapeutic. It gets me away from everything. And then I feel like I accomplished something. I hope these help! A lot of good advice on this post!
There are so many good suggestions on this post. Something that helps me is grounding. If you haven’t heard of it you should look up exercises to ground yourself. It just brings you back to the present instead of staying in the horror movie playing in your head. And the ones I do I don’t even move from bed or a chair.
Something that helped me fall asleep for a while was count backwards from 100. I don’t think I’ve ever made it to 0 before falling asleep lol.
But I second the lavender oils on your pillow. That really does relax me too.
