Any help would be appreciated

My sister, who is staying with me, just said goodbye to some of her family, who are moving to Florida.

I will explain in another post her exact relationship to me; for now, let the present suffice.

My problem is simple:

I am an empath, and even though she says very little, I feel her emotions as though they were mine.

Does anyone else have this problem, and if so, how do you block it? I can with most people, but in a very real way, we are the same person, almost like twins.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. She’s doing her level best to keep herself together...and I will do mine to help her.

I am. It tears me apart to know she’s going through this. I’m glad she’s with me.

She's your sister or SIL? It's nice that she lives with you. Who knows? Perhaps she 'll have a place to visit- and if you live in a cold climate- maybe have a place to warm up a little.
