Happy with no meds

Is possible to live happy and healthy with no medication? . Because I hate how meds make me feel. I never really was on meds just doing try ups and see if they work. They don't for me so far.

Ps I'm being feeling great 7 days and counting. No meds .

Meds don't work for me. I HATE the side affects. Lifestyle change and perspective with counseling helped me. *That and carrying around Ativan in my pocket for emergency. Those work! I think if you did not have an SIRI imbalance before taking meds you will when you try to stop.

I definitely don't want to try meds and then make it worse later but I will definitely try Ativan if it is just for emergencies. Thank you

You are welcome ..

If you have never tried them (SIRI/SNRI's) you might give it few weeks. I did not like them AT ALL. Some peeps don't mind and get past the side affects. I did not. I must have a sensitive system. It took me a month+ after I stopped each one to feel normal again. Benzo's like Ativan or Xanax work within minutes but can be VERY habit forming so be careful with them. 1/2 a pill or 1mg will last for 6 hours and work great!

Does it make you feel loopy and sleepy?

No. It just lets you feels normal. No high or dizziness. It just chases away the anxiety and PANIC completely. I started taking them to fly/travel when I had to and then years later I developed increased anxiety and Terrifying PANIC attacks while driving or on my Motorcycle. So unlike me. It was like I was standing outside of myself watching and it made no sense yet I could not control my lizard brain. The Ativan is always in my pocket when I leave home. I have developed some self soothing routines that keep the monster at bay.

Not everyone can but if you can good luck to you. x

If not taking meds works for you, then I would go with that! I take meds because they work for me along with attitude adjustments! Everyone is different and likewise, their journey. There’s no right or wrong answer, just a common goal of moving forward and being the best you can be within your limitations! I’m wishing you the best!!

I think when is medically needed, meaning your brain doesn't communicate the way it should Doctors may recommend it to be taken. If you feel that is not your case and you could do without meds, try seeking therapy, life groups from local churches, meditation, could help a lot.
