Always afraid of dying

I know this is TMI, but I’m on my period which doesn’t help the fact that I’m anxious. So for the past 8 hours, I’ve had the worst gas pains around my belly button. I feel like a balloon ready to pop. I’ve been laying with a heating pad, took antacids, and tried everything. Of course I think I’m dying and I google everything. The internet says this is a normal side effect of a period. So that should comfort me right? Nope. I automatically think I’m going to get Sepsis and die. Why? Because I always think the worst. So now it’s 4am, I couldn’t sleep because the pressure is so bad. I’ve belched for an hour straight and I’m on the couch with a heating pad praying I won’t die. Ugh.

You are not in danger of dying! That’s not abnormal and would happen to me sometimes. I had horrible gas until I had a hysterectomy and it all went away! I don’t know what the connection is, but I’m so grateful! Have you tried laying on your stomach? That used to help me more than anything. Don’t give in to the anxiety...you’re going to live!!
