Hello there! I'm wide awake and going through peri-menopause! I'm not sure if it's early or not. My biggest problem is sleep! I do have to take hormone meds. I also feel like I have emotional issues like getting irritated easily! I am going through a difficult time in my marriage, and still trying to get used to having legs that were both broke from a car accident. Though I can walk and still drive, I'm dealing with the after effects of pain from arthritis and still trying to walk properly! Oh I could go on and on and on... I think you really should see a doctor about the peri-menopause! I'm not sure if meds do help with the hot/heat issues, but it is certainly something to look into! Hope all goes well for you! Oh and you may want to look into what kinds of natural vitamins and minerals would help with that as well! Good luck and I hope you can get a good night's rest 💛🤔

Oh this is to funny. Your going thru the same thing! I was hoping to talk to someone like you! Thank you so much for your message. I'm so so sorry that your going thru all that! I really hope there's something you can take to ease the pain of arthritis. I have it in both shoulders so yea it sure does hurt doesn't it!!😱 Hoping it gets easier for you to walk or is the damage permanent?? Yea the lack of sleep is making me batty. I've got to find a way to sleep cause no sleep causes me to have seizures. Having epilepsy sucks 😭😭😭 Wish I had my license back. I'm riding a scooter like an idiot but I just moved to a smaller city 6 months ago and no buses to really get around. Coming from Las Vegas it was so easy to get around. Here in St. George Utah things are very spaced out. Your username is so great😄😄😄 Its cool cause my name is Kacey so krazeyCase would fit me too!! Lol. 😄😄 That's how I feel crazy crazy. Like you I could go on and on.....What are you up to when you can't sleep? Like you said I'm trying to find gynecologist here but no luck yet. Need to find one who'll take Medicare! The severe sweating is truly horrific! I don't think its just hot flashes. Its soooo bad my head and hair get soaked which is embarrassing beyond belief😭😭😭 Every place I have sweat glands it just pours sweat!!!! Iv e never seen anyone sweat this bad not even men!!! What is it like for you? Any brain fog??

Hi Casey 😉 I used to have a dog named Casey, and every time I greeted her I would always say "who crazy?" It is too crazy 😳 I hear you have epilepsy! And you really do need to get you some sleep, I hate for you to have to go through those seizures! When I'm in bed, I usually listen to music. If I find that I cannot sleep then I will just play on the smartphone and watch videos or do some research on something that peaks my curiosity... As far as your sweating issue, the person you need to see is a dermatologist. You'll probably need a referral from your regular doctor. Speaking of your regular doctor, he may be able to "prescribe" you an antiperspirant! I do have rainbow frogs, but I think that's a result of having fibromyalgia. As I've gotten older I am going through a lot of changes, which in turn I have to take more medicine! UGH! I guess that's the price of getting older!

Oops, not rainbow... talk about cRāZy huh?

lovedogs51511 in reply toKrazyCAse

Yea seizures are my real nightmare!!!!😭 I'm sorry to hear that you have fibromyalgia! Any medication that helps with that?? I sure hope so! The dog sounds really adorable! I think ill try 🎶 music next time I can't sleep. That's my next Dr to search for is the dermatologist. Just found neurologist. Sick of needing all these damn specialists! Ugh😱 As far as antiperspirant, I've tried all the meds that are supposed to dry you up. Tried antiperspirant prescribed by Dr. I don't get it. Why its so severe! That brain fog is scary. I can't recall anything I wrote a second ago. Can't recall phone numbers etc. Very strange! Like you said its the price of getting old😱😲😵😳

Yeah, it would be nice if there was only 1 kind of doctor and only 1 kind of medication... ohkaaay, now I think I'm getting delirious 😱😳😨😵🙃😬 I actually do have a medicine that's supposed to help me sleep...as you can tell... it's not working. Gosh, I hope you are sleeping😴 by now! I've been up all night. I'm sure I'll sleep good tonight😐 I'll be available all day today. We are currently in the process of moving...to a larger town, and unfortunately, away from the country. I'll miss the peace and quiet, but I'll definitely be glad to be around people!

Just wrote long reply and my phones internet gets disconnected and I lost it all. So mad that happened! No not sleeping here either. Moving is a pain but when you get settled in it will be worth it! I used to take 10 or more 50 mg sleeping pills and it still didn't work. I know your frustration!! I have barely closed my eyes a few times the last two days! We're probably pretty batty!!! Ugh! Hopefully living in a larger city will be a blessing! Country living is nice😄

Yeah, the inconvenience/frustrationsof having a smartphone! I would love to have a laptop or desktop computer...it would make it so much easier to see and type replies! This is my first smartphone and now I see why people are so engrossed/attached to their phones! I need to start using the mic more often! And speaking more clearly (rainbow frogs instead of brain fogs😁) gosh, I'm sitting here listening to the local morning talk show on the radio and I can feel my eyes drooping... I need to start packing up more boxes to wake up some! I'll be glad when the hot weather goes away! I always look forward to the fall and winter!

Lost another message! Ugh. Yea having a laptop is good. Mines got way to many issues to use. I agree its easy to get sucked into your phone all day. Hopefully your taking a quick nap. Everything seems so much harder when you have had a sleepless night!😥 You must be on the east coast like everybody else is. I can't find anyone living on west coast. I'm also done with this heat!!

Wanted to make sure my message went thru. I can't wait for the colder weather! Amen for that!!! I'm so tired of the 100 degree weather day after day😰😰 Went for a long walk an hour ago. Woke me up but was needed too so I can shed some pounds!!! Hope moving goes good 😄😄

Have you had your thyroid levels checked?

lovedogs51511 profile image
lovedogs51511 in reply toThyroidJ

Don't think I have lately. Only one time years and years ago. It was normal. I did look into that but feeling my thyroid in my neck feels normal. Being 45 things are going downhill😄😄😄 Fun, fun, fun getting old☺

It sounds like me before I found out my thyroid levels were double

lovedogs51511 profile image
lovedogs51511 in reply toThyroidJ

Ill eventually get it checked out. My nurse took my blood and they had taken it again in hospital but said everything was normal. Is it something I need to get checked specifically?

ThyroidJ profile image
ThyroidJ in reply tolovedogs51511

Yes they need to check t4, t3 and TSH all thyroid levels. You may be totally fine but I’m a similar age to you and I had a few of the same symptoms as you and I have Graves’ disease (over active thyroid). I really don’t want to worry you though xx

lovedogs51511 profile image

My brothers wife has graves disease. Iv e never met anyone but her that has it. Thank you for sharing. It must be so hard to live with. She struggles a lot with it. My main issue or more like problem is the sweating that's unbearable! My head, hair drips with sweat causing humiliation!! Everywhere sweats! No relief whatsoever😰😰 So I was looking into causes of such horrific sweating. I'm thinking its mainly perimemopause due to other symptoms. The brain fog is horrible. Its like I have no brain at all! I can't remember anything once hearing or seeing it. I'm just going crazy with these symptoms😱😱 Any signs for you at all or still to soon?

I always have trouble sleeping and it has nothing to do with menopause! I’m not ruminating or worrying about anything either. My restless legs have a lot to do with it. It’s miserable, I know...sending you pleasant thoughts!

lovedogs51511 in reply to

Oh yea I have that restless leg syndrome. At night its bad. Kicking legs around all the time. Thanks for the pleasant thoughts! This is the second day with minimal time with eyes shut. No real sleep just periods of resting. Ugh.

I’m so sorry! Do you take anything for your RLS?

lovedogs51511 profile image
lovedogs51511 in reply to

I dont. Do you?

in reply tolovedogs51511

Yes, I take Mirapex for it but was given way too high a dose and now I’m “augmenting” on it! I’m currently trying to wean off the medication. There’s a restless legs forum here with excellent information floating around. You should check it out. I ended up on 2mg and the highest dosage recommended for RLS is 0.25mg. I’m down to 0.5mg right now. Getting closer!!

lovedogs51511 in reply to

Oh that's great you can take something to help with it. I don't want to add another pill cause I take so many already! I can live with RLS. Its gotten better somewhat. I look RLS on here thank you. Iv e just got so many other problems to work thru that are more important. Ugh.

It is very hard Graves but because it’s unseen people think your ok. Well I was doing ok I was having more better days but this past 2 weeks I’ve been really badly fatigued and really emotional and low. My neck feels swollen it’s like recovering from the flu when you just can’t get out of bed not nice really. When was your sister in law diagnosed? I found out officially December 2017 so still early door yet

lovedogs51511 profile image
lovedogs51511 in reply toThyroidJ

Oh wow I'm not sure when she was diagnosed but she's gone thru a lot. Her eyes are super swollen. I'm so sorry you have to deal with so much pain. Is there any pain pills you can take to relieve the pain?

ThyroidJ profile image
ThyroidJ in reply tolovedogs51511

It’s not too painful just annoying and feels strange. I feel bad for your sister too it’s very difficult. Thank you for your kind words

Of course your a very sweet and kind person😄😄 Yea her eyes seem to be what's affected the most. Eye surgeries and stuff. Just really hard to deal with. She's doing better now tho.

Hi there... sorry I didn't get back to you sooner. I've been trying to get our stuff boxed up for our upcoming move. I end up staying awake until midnight the next night...😞😠😱😬😳 We should be completely out of this place by Saturday night...yes, I am on the east coast! I would think that the heat you have to deal with is much more drier than the humidity here in NC... I'd rather have the dry heat rather than the wet, humid air over here.... it just makes me feel like the heat is just sticking to me...ergh😧

Um, it's 3am here...as you can see, I've not been able to sleep tonight... I sure hope you've been getting yourself some sleep...😴

lovedogs51511 in reply toKrazyCAse

Hiya! That's great your ready to move already! Yea sleeping is just so tough to get. Sorry your still sleepless! Your under so much stress with moving maybe you'll be able to sleep better once your in your new home! The air is dry indeed. Las vegas, being in the desert, is super dry but its much hotter. 115 degrees some days but thank God there's no humidity!!! I almost thought of moving to NC. I would die in that type of heat over there. The humidity seems like it would be tough to handle! Here in southern Utah its similar to Vegas but its considered the high desert whatever that means. Lol. I hope your move goes smoothly and you find happiness and joy in your new home😄😊😀
