The past couple of weeks my anxiety and stress level has been heightened because of my 4 college classes and my full time job at work. Need some relaxation techniques to calm down.

Deep breathing, meditation, muscle relaxation, exercise. Hope you feel better!

Thanks. Have you ever tried running? If so, does it actually help clear your head?

I don't run but actually love tennis.. it's great because I have to focus on the game so other stuff gets blocked out. Walking is also good! And any time you can be in touch with nature, go for it.. So therapeutic 👍

Hey Jill I can relate a lot to what you have said I Live with High anxiety every day and have even quit a job because of the stress

Most importantly focus on proper breathing at work or in class.

Take mandated breaks for yourself even if it’s for two minutes to breathe close your eyes and slowdown

Spotify and other places have music and other tracks to help you with stress

I have even almost cut out caffeine completely because it was affecting my anxiety that much

I feel like I can ramble on and on

Glad to finally meet someone who can relate because sometimes I feel alone. My family doesn’t understand it or seem to care and my friends are helpful sometimes but they don’t know what it’s totally like either. I love iced coffee but now maybe I will start to cut that out.

It’s very hard for family and friends to relate to what we feel, my wife struggles with it a lot and yes a lot of times I feel I’m by myself This forum really does help a lot

You could get iced decaf coffee

Trigger points in the hands and arms help me. Also pretending I am sitting on a chair on the beach. Think of the warm sun, sand on your toes and focus on how the waves sound. Good luck!
