When I searched google for Buddhism Monk Breathing Techniques, I found some amazing ones and they were easy enough for me to sit down with my 9 year old and we did them together. Give it a try...some of these you can use with eyes open in daily life when it’s hard to meditate, while others are good for meditation...

Hey ya Redfox! I remember your name! How are you? I’ve been struggling lately because I just went off some benzos ( today is day 8 and I hear it takes 14 days to get out of the system and for withdrawal to end) ...but people like you lift me up so thank you so much for helping me back! What r u up to?

Aww i hope you will feel better. Am doing okay, struggling a bit a lot better than before ( assuming it helps a lot trust me lol). Anyways am planning to persue my masters in abroad, have a exam in couple of days feeling very nervous. And I can’t even tell you how happy i am talking to you, I really wish all your problems to go away. :)

Controlled breathing has saved me in keeping anxiety from turning into panic.

I use it all the time. It's great to get your son into it. It's something he can use throughout his life. My granddaughter does it too

Sounds like the breathing is helping. Maybe its also helping with focus. Im glad. You have made such a difference in people’s lives here that we want to make sure you make it through this rough spot. You inspire people!!!

I searched as you suggested. I found an article about 'The Urban Monk', Dr. Bhante Saranapala. Very helpful - and a reminder for me to meditate. I practiced many years ago to mitigate back pain (and it helped tremendously) so now I should restart to help with anxiety. Thank you for the recommendation!
