Hello I'm new to this group. I suffer from agoraphobia, anxiety, depression, obesity and the things that comes with that. I'm tired of being alone just sitting here smoking cigarettes. I'm willing to try just about anything for change. Thank you all

Hello everyone
Welcome to a very nice group of people and it does sound like you found the right place. We all have our issues and many of us like yourself, have a number of issues on our plate to deal with.... I read a lot of others posts and comments and learn a lot about my disease and how others are living their lives dealing with it.... glad your here sharing about yours.
Over the past 9 years I've learned a lot also from my therapist so maybe i may able to help someone as well as looking for help myself. I feel like there's much more out there for me to learn and help with my coping skills during an attack
Sounds like me..especially with the ciggies..welcome.
I used to love to smoke. It was thing that would calm me. I decided one day that I was not going to let them control me. With Gods help and the patch I quit. I still after 20 yrs would love to have one but I know I can’t just smoke one. I got to the point that I could no longer afford them and didn’t like the smell.
I still have really bad anxiety and I really feel for you!!
Linda
Welcome to the site. You're going to love this place! You need to feed your brain positive thoughts. Our brains are very powerful, if it can bring us down then we can go up! I'm here for you sending you love, peace, joy, light & hugs!!!
Hi @Money2burn, I had a friend who suffered from agoraphobia but overcame it somewhat by choosing a career where he was alone more than with others. He had limited time in social situations but he did have social interaction. His family helped him cope with his condition and encouraged him to create places of comfort where he felt safe to go out without fear of panic. Do you have a career or any friends or family to encourage you to find safe places? If you don't I have a counseling resource that I can share. Counseling can help give you ideas on how to navigate outside your home. Remember small steps lead to bigger ones. If you want to reach out to someone via phone, you can call 1-855-771-4357. Its a safe step to a brighter future. Prayers for courage.
Welcome. I'm trying to be more conscious of and changing my emotional eating and reaching for a bottled water more and its helping. I'm still obese yet I'm having some progress with making some small cha ges. What movies make you laugh or touch your heart? I like Little Big man. The Neverending Story Home Alone and Support Your Local Gunfighter is also good. There is good support here
