You are not alone. I have lived with Anxiety for a long time. Breathing deeply does help. I am now getting into meditation and it seems to help clear your mind. Also, I am starting to write a journal and hoping it helps. Maybe you can try these suggestions. It won't hurt.

Do you know what this anxiety is based around? I find talking about what is bothering me really helps to lesson the fear. I’m a believer that anxiety revolves around fear. What is keeping you awake and afraid?
Thanks so much for replying. I constantly think there is something wrong with my heart because I feel my heartbeat and lately it feels that my heart is beating very fast.
If we focus on something we can drive ourselves nuts. Put a tv or some head phones on to distract yourself when your worrying about your heart rate. Anxiety can make the HR elevate, that’s ok because the blood vessels will compensate which in turn will lower the HR. It’s very normal to get caught up with worry when we are having anxiety. Know that you are OK. If you put your hand on your heart and count its beat for one minute that will give you you HR . ( heart rate) 60-120 is normal.
Mines at about 84 right now. Is it possible my mind is making me think it's faster?
The heart rate fluctuates a lot during the day depending upon your activity level or what you had to eat. It is best to stay away from caffeine because that it a stimulant. Another good tip is to make sure you are getting exercise every day because that can help release tension.
