Scared I have been diagnosed with Major depression and am taking zoloft 100mg. Then my doctor wanted me to take abilify for my anxiety and depression. I complied for 3 months started to gain weight then took myself slowly off without telling the doctor. I was fine at first but now with our company merged my future is unpredictable. So I put more pressure on myself and started to take on another opportunity that I could fall back on but once I got into it; it was too hard keeping up with my IT job so I abandoned the opportunity. I feel kind of stuck in staying on the medication wondering if I will need more and just trying survive at my job. I like the technology but find it difficult to keep up with all the changes.
I thought I would give it 6 months so my meds become stable and see where the company is going. Any other troughs.

Hi fuzzy, I'm sorry to hear about the mood problems but glad you've found this site. There are a lot of helpful people on it.
I would encourage you to consider taking the zoloft. You are just getting to the efficacious dosage of at 100 mg. The abilify is the med that can cause the weight gain (this is kinda common). I know the weight gain can be frustrating because I've gained 20 lbs myself on something similar. Good luck and keep posting
