hi bob....it's a good thing your looking for a new job....it may be exactly what you need to stop these symptoms your having. not all people who suffer from depression will have it all their lives. some suffer from a temporary situational depression.
It is creating lot of internal pressure in me, I am feeling suffocated thorughout the day, when I am in office, I am lacking confidence, moreover I am not feeling like talking with anyone.
Its taking time to get a job, It is creating more pain inside me, I am not able to concentrate on my work, only negative thoughts coming throughout the day, not able to focus on positive things, feeling difficult to interact with people around and seek help. Please help
good to focus on stuff outside of work that makes you happy....you can also try some job agency's to do some 'headhunting' for you...meaning...they will get a fee from the company who you hires you and not you. Temp agencys' often lead to a full time job. Try to look at what your doing as just a temporary necessary evil till you find what you want and as hard as it is...better to be employed than not....
If this is the reason of your depression: your job, and you know what needs to change and what would make you happy, this is great, and you are taking steps already by looking for a new job. I did not feel depressed because of job but i felt very stressed and anxious. I don't have that job anymore, but my situation is different, i am still looking and learning and/or refreshing my skills to find a different job. But from my experience, if you are taking steps, not being idle, it helps to overcome depression. Takes a lot of patience as well, one step at a time. Good luck to you!
