I went to the doctor on Monday for an ear infection that I had for awhile. She gave me Amoxicillin. Thursday I wasn't feeling better, so emailed her. After sending the email, I looked at the pill bottle & realized I was supposed to tale it twice a day... misunderstood the pharmacist. Emailed her about my discovery. Never heard back... My ear still hurts... plus have a headache & feel nausea. I'm waiting for the doctor to call me for my phone appointment. I of course WebMD & now freaking out. Convinced I have meningitis... scared is understatement... I still havelike 2 hours before the call...

Freaking myself out
Try to relax. It'll work out. Hope you feel better soon.
Hi if you had menangitis you would probably be dead by now! So you haven't got it trust me. Hope you feel better very soon. x
LOL....never ever believe Dr. Internet. He is a total quack. I agree with HyperCard, you don’t have meningiitis. Good luck with the doctor.
Thank you. My husband said basically same thing... wishes he could block WebMD from my phone.
WebMD is the worst thing ever! How can you not go there and think you are dying after going there??!! I avoid it like the plague now, it was causing me intense anxiety.
Nausea and headaches are completely normal when you have an ear infection. You just accidentally took less of your antibiotic than you were supposed to so the infection is hanging on. Once you get your proper dosage of antibiotics going, you will feel good again. Heal soon and take care.
UPDATE: Talked to the doctor, got prescribed another antibiotic. She thinks when I was basically taking half the dosage of Axomicillin the stronger survived & that's why I still have the infection. Also, wants me to take Sudafed (behind counter one). Fingers crossed this works... can't miss work this week & go on vacation next Sunday.
WebMd is the worse don't go on it Mel, how are you feeling today
Trying to hang in there, took the first dosage of the new antibiotics today. Carefully read everything, following it to a T. Hate when the anxiety gets to me... hard to ignore it right now but trying. How are you?
