I so agree with Janet Jackson describing depression as a "tenacious and scary condition".
it is so true. it is unrelenting, I actually feel like its a like a real entity , a person that I carry around on my shoulders, it s a faceless enemy that wont let go. I feel like I am losing it lately and life is just so hard and things are just not getting better, I just don't think I can do this much longer... I really cant...my life is just neverending pain and misery and I don't want to feel this anymore....

Hi RcKitty!
I completely identify with your vivid description of your feelings! Hang on! You can do this! It takes time, actively working on yourself and changing your thought patterns, living in today and taking baby steps one day at a time and faithfully taking your meds if you have any prescribed. Try not to let yourself get overwhelmed and bogged down with things you have no control over and things originating from the past or the future. Live one minute at a time if you must! I’m certain that you can do this! Don’t give up just yet...you’re needed here and now. Wishing you peace for your journey!!
my heart goes out to you!!💞that's interesting quote from Janet Jackson-if you don't mind my asking when did she say that? on an interview in an article or something? Just curious to check it out myself an wonder then does she have depression??thnx for sharing🌻🌷🌸☺️
I know how you feel. I have been there too. Have you been to a doctor to rule out medical issues? Low thyroid and hormonal imbalance have caused my depression in the past. I have been on Armour thyroid and progesterone cream for about a year and am beginning to feel like a new person.
I don't know if you like to read, but the book Rethink How You Think by Dr. David Stoop was a big help to me in seeing the connection between our brains and feelings. Also, Happy Women Live Better by Valorie Burton helped me set some healthy habits .
i've been fighting hard in lots of ways, that may not appeal to you, i am presently a bit better, i recognise that feeling you describe...its time to go out ....who will you choose to reach out to? are you in uk, i would travel some distance to help you, i am no stranger to you or your probs !
