Hi everyone. I was seeing a therapist months ago but my co-pay was just to much. I do have a phychiatrist I see about every two months, I’m also on meds. I would like to talk to someone though, to learn how to change my thoughts and the way I react to them. I’m not doing all that well with the medications alone. But I just can’t afford the cost of weekly visits. Any ideas?

Ask your therapist if they are aware of any clinics where graduates are doing their hours to get their lic. to practice...they often offer a sliding scale much more affordable to the average client....it was some of the best therapy I had ever had... also check the internet for any listings in your area.
I have a therapist, but I have found more help and understanding being in this group right here. There's no word games or the question Why Do You Think You Feel This Way. Its honest people that truly say how they feel. And from that reading every post, I have found some answers. I don't feel like a puppet trying to answer those questions. I think therapists are great for some people. But here is so much better. I hope you find the answer right for you.🤔
I go to support groups for depression and bipolar. Google support groups in your area. The ones I do to don't have professionals there; it is just a group of people there discussing what is going in in their lives, discuss medications, and ask questions.
