Forgetting

Anyone else ever feel like they are losing your mind? Or feel like you'reforgetting everything?

Of course! Why should you be different? I think it's part of the human condition. And for those of us with mental health diagnoses I'm beginning to think it's normal.

I forgot my niece and nephew's birthdays AND Christmas last year and my mom on Mother's Day this year. They all live 1 mile away at my sister's and I see them and talk to them regularly. How do I forget to pay the bills on time?? How did I miss the turnoff for the same doctor's office I've been to many times? When can I get back to church and Bible study regularly instead of hit and miss?

I'm struggling with the effects of a fairly new Dx of bipolar II and the effects of decades of Benzo use due to GAD...I really can't expect much more from myself. I'm doing the best I can and I'll bet you are, too. I don't stress myself any more than necessary about these frustrations...I do what I can to catch up and then forget about it and move on with my day. "Forget about it"...did you catch that? That's when forgetting's a good & healthy thing!

Go ahead and love yourself anyway.
