I promise, I’m not a robot!
I am so new to this way of approaching my anxiety issues—simply with sharing my heart’s thoughts over the course of my time here in this online community.
I want to start out with the thought “wow, have I been through a lot”, but I have been called selfish a time or two, and so I am going to start off on the assumption that we have all had our share of issues, and that’s precisely why we are participating in this self-help interactive online tool.
We are humans, not robots! Feelings and emotions are normal and I am sure in my heart that we are not meant to suppress our emotions. Granted, we have to keep our emotions “reined in” to an extent that we all live with each other in a friendly and kind manner, but aside from the normal laws of common courtesy, let’s start up with stopping and smelling those proverbial roses again!
At this time I am pretty well convinced that we will be better people the moment we learn to not take ourselves too seriously all the time.
(Now if I can just remember to take my own advice tomorrow, and the next day, and so on, I’ll be doing good!)
