Hey guys , I really need your help. I just can’t understand it anymore. I went for a trip and got sick later diagnosis with kidney inflammation. Since I came back home , I don’t feel happy, don’t sleep on time .. always sleep late , lack of nutrients, and just stresss depresss in bed . For a weeek fever and cough, shoulder pain. Usually my period came regularly monthly , my cycle usually 27 or 28. But now my cycle is 17, and I bleed a little bit , just spotting .. I don’t think I get ovulation this month, I’m supposed to get period next week may 31. Why spotting at mid cycle ? Is this normal ? I don’t get any cramps nothing. I’m just confused 🤷‍♀️ now. I was thinking maybe I take too much medication, in this may , had my blood drawn 3 times or more it was a lots. Does anyone experience spotting at mid cycle before period ?? Please help thanks . Any advice suggests would help . Thanks .

This doesn't sound pleasant. There could be numerous reasons for this and no one on here can diagnose you. You need to make an appointment to see your doctor. x

Hi there,

Sounds like you are having a really tough time at the moment. Hope you start to feel better soon.

I have experienced mid cycle spotting in the past. It can be really normal - sometimes it's your body responding to the dropping levels of oestrogen around the time of ovulation. But, if it's never happened before it's very important that you go and see your GP about it as it can be a symptom that something is not right, like an infection or gynae problems like PCOS. I had a few other symptoms too, so have had some routine tests for infection (which were clear) and have an ultrasound booked to check it's nothing more serious. Often it's just ovulation and/or your body responding to stress if they can't identify a cause.

Please try not to worry too much, but getting it checked out is definitely the way forward. Hope this helps.

Thanks soo much everyrose, this really helped me a lot. Does ovulation sometimes caused spotting too little bleed at mid cycle? How long U had that spotting 1 -2 days and than after period started ??? Spotting I see 2 days now. I thought it was my period but when I looked at my calander , it’s mid cycle . Than I started to freaked out more and stresss more . Ppl tell me stress can give u lots of unpleasant feelings and bad for ur body .

Stress can indeed cause lots of problems, but you still need to have this checked by your gynecologist.

Hi,

When it's happened to me I have had spotting for anything from 2-6 days mid cycle then still had a normal period later. It's been going on for me for 6 months now. Try not to stress - it may well be nothing, but please do go to the doctor, you will feel better when you know what's going on 😊

Thanks my dear.

I had this happen in February, and I’ve always had perfect cycles. I started lightly spotting a few days after ovulation. It scared me and stressed me out so badly. I made an appt with obgyn, I had a uterine biopsy done. No cancer. My spotting was just a hormonal fluctuation. Spotting is most likely due to hormonal fluctuations. Yes get an appt and get it checked but googling and assuming it’s cancer or something horrible will just cause unnecessary stress.
