Feeling weird

So today I woke up feeling happy and energized. I did my morning workout, drank my lemon water and thanked God for another day. But once I was out the door I started feeling weird. Like I wanted to pass out I stayed calm because I knew if I got all worked up I would go in full blown panic. The whole drive to drop off my kids and here to work I felt dizzy like I wanted to faint or I didn't have enough oxygen. I still feel off and my forehead tingles. I know it's not my health I've had recent cardiac work up, I've had blood drawn almost every month ( due to my crazy obsession that something is wrong with my blood) I've seen my neurologist. And everything has came back normal and healthy. Does anyone else feel like they are in a fog or dizzy. At one point I thought I was going to have a stroke but like I said I'm healthy. Feeling weird.

Do you drink enough water, especially during and after you exercise?

I drank water once I woke up and you know what I didn't drink as much after the work out. I just started rushing to get my kids ready and making them their smoothies and getting to school and work. You think it could be a lack of water. I have not been drinking as much as I usto.

in reply toEspinoza38

It could be.

Take sips of water during your next workout and see if it makes a difference.

Honesty this is the first time I've felt this way. And first time I work out in the morning. I usually do it after work. But I hate this feeling I jyst feel like I'm a go into a full blown anxiety atrack.

in reply toEspinoza38

Well maybe you have found the reason. Don't get anxious about it, it hasn't done you any harm has it?

Espinoza38 profile image
Espinoza38 in reply to

No no harm. I guess I over think every ache and pain I feel. When I have days like this I get so down and depresses so I try and focus on other things. Especially stay busy at work.

in reply toEspinoza38

Yes you over think it all.. even though you know you will be ok. You have to keep telling yourself that it's only the anxiety telling you things, it's not real.

And that's exactly what I'm doing. Like I'll get these pains in my arms and chest my head assumes it's a heart attack but I know it's not. Or if my head hurts I assume it's a stroke but I know it's not. I've been doing good not over thinking but I do have days that knock me back 10 steps. It's an ugly battle but I know we got this

in reply toEspinoza38

Next time you get the pains in your arms and chest think of other reasons for it, maybe it could be your exercises which would be natural.. I get the same thing sometimes and I exercise too. But I know it's ok.

It is an ugly battle but yes we have got this.

So You also have the arm pain? By where is your located at? I know dumb question.

in reply toEspinoza38

It can be all the way down my arm, it can be in my bicep or elbow or tricep. Last week I was my tricep and it was really bad but it's fine now after some rest.

Espinoza38 profile image
Espinoza38 in reply to

That's exactly how I get my pain. And does it alternate arms or is it just one?

in reply toEspinoza38

Alternates and sometimes both at once.

in reply toEspinoza38

It depends what I'm doing though, I started a new exercise last week and I got very painful triceps, all ok now though. 😀

You at times my arm pain just comes out of no where.

in reply toEspinoza38

Same here. When you do get it does it eventually go away?

Espinoza38 profile image
Espinoza38 in reply to

Like I still have my arm pain it made me cry and think the worst. I took one Tylenol but it didn't work.

in reply toEspinoza38

It could be posture, spending to much time sitting, looking at screens, lying wrong in bed.

Espinoza38 profile image
Espinoza38 in reply to

I think it is that also. Because I do sit for long periods of time infront of the screen and my arms stay in one position for almost 8 hours

in reply toEspinoza38

I'm the same, I sit in my job, arms in same position most of the time.

Does it sometime feel like they just gave u a shot

in reply toEspinoza38

What do you mean?

Espinoza38 profile image
Espinoza38 in reply to

Like when you get an injection in your arm. That's how mines feels. But when I rub it, it feels good. But painful if that makes sense

in reply toEspinoza38

Yes I get the same feeling.

In addition to water , as Jimmy says, make sure your blood sugar is not low. Did you have something to eat or drink first?

Espinoza38 profile image
Espinoza38 in reply tob1b1b1

No I didn't. I try and do right for myself but in the process I forget to eat at times.

I'm the exact same way, my worries are about my heart or head (heart attack, stroke, aneurysms, etc.) and it REALLY sucks some days but I'm still here. It's a very defeating feeling (especially when it begins to interfere with your everyday life) but it's important to tell you're self that you're healthy, pretty simple but it goes a long way. I feel like I'm in a fog often and normally that alone is enough to set me off, but normally I take an iron pill (cuz I'm anemic and that's how I feel when I don't take them), eat or have a nap and that usually solves it, water is also important. Hope you feel better asap!

Espinoza38 profile image
Espinoza38 in reply togilded_masquerade

Wow that's how I've been lately and come to think of it I didn't take my iron pill. But it takes a toll on me. I just want it to ease up that's it.

Did you eat enough that morning prior to the workout. I've felt like this after a workout when I didn't eat enough that day, low blood sugar or dehydration might do this.

Espinoza38 profile image
Espinoza38 in reply toByelka

Honestly I think I'm not drinking enough water or eating enough. And once u feel weird I over think and I make myself have an anxiety attack.

Byelka profile image
Byelka in reply toEspinoza38

I totally can see that happening. I used to work out with a personal trainer. One day I went to my session with him at 8 am (not my usual time, I'm NOT a morning person), I didn't eat breakfast before and I'm sure I didn't drink enough water the day before. On my way out to my car I felt light headed, dizzy, and my whole body felt tingly like when you sit on your foot for too long. On my drive home I pulled into a parking lot and threw up. I was sure I was dying. I called my husband who drove to me and brought me a banana, a smoothie and Gatorade. It was terrible and scary. We sat in the parking lot for about 1/2 hour before I felt OK to drive. If you felt anything like I did that day I am not surprised this played on your anxiety. For me it was a combination of dehydration, low blood sugar (maybe electrolytes too), and reconditioning (I had been slacking off prior then went back full swing).

I hope you keep working out though. It really can help with your mood a lot, just make sure to have a snack an hour before and drink lots of water. Bring a sports drink with you just in case.

I go through the same thing. I’m actually about to leave the doctors office now cause of some issues I’ve been having and thinking I had some type of cancer or something. Yet I still feel anxious. When he told me there was nothing to worry about I got super hot and thought I was gonna pass out. Makes no sense. Then I’ll feel super weird randomly. Specially when ever I leave the house. Almost like I’m not really in my body or something.

Espinoza38 profile image
Espinoza38 in reply toImhere456

I get that way too. After my cardiologist told me I had nothing wrong with my heart I ended up with a full blown anxiety and made myself sick. When I leave the house my mind goes straight into thinking I'm a die. I know one day it'll stop, but for now we gotta find away around it.

Yes, I felt like this today. Felt out of it and like i wasn't fully awake yet. I felt confused even. I instantly started freaking out and had to do a lot of self talk. I get like this every month before my period, so I know it's from that but it is still an easy trigger. Hope it passed for you.
